To eject the CD, press the (27) button when the control
panel is flipped down. The CD is ejected.
Remove the CD from the drive. The CD will be retracted
again after 10 seconds if it is not removed from the slot; in
this case playback does not start automatically.
NOTE:
Please note:
A large variety of burner and compression software is
on the market; there are differences in quality between
CDs and home-burnt CDs.
Furthermore, the music industry does not have fixed
standards (copy protection).
For this reason it can happen that in exceptional cases
play-back problems for CDs and MP3/WMA CDs occur.
This is not a malfunction of this unit.
Select CD Mode (with CD inserted)
Repeatedly press MODE/PAIR (17) until CDP PLAY is
displayed.
Skip Mode
Press (7) or (13) to skip to the next or previous track.
The title number and the elapsed playing time are shown
on the display.
Fast Forward/Rewind
Press and hold (7) or (13) to start fast forward or
rewind function.
Pause
Press
(2), to pause playback. S-PAUSE is shown on
the display.
Press
(2) again to resume playback.
Repeat Mode
Press RPT (4) to repeat the current title. S-RPT and the
current title are displayed. Press again to return to normal
playback mode.
Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format:
Keep the RPT button (4) briefly pressed to repeat the cur-
rent folder. D-RPT and the current title are shown. Press
the button to restore normal playback.
Intro
Press SCN (3). The display shows S-SCAN. All tracks are
played for 10 seconds in sequence. Press again to return
to normal playback mode.
Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format:
Keep the SCN button (3) briefly pressed. All titles in the
current folder are played in sequence for around 10
seconds. D-SCAN and the current title are shown on the
display. Press the button to restore normal playback.
Random Playback
Press SHF (25). S-SHF and the current title are shown on
the display. All tracks are played in random order. Press
again to return to normal playback mode.
Only for MP3 files and CDs in MP3 Format:
Keep the SHF button (25) briefly pressed. A random
playback of all titles of the current folder starts. D-SCAN
and the current title are shown on the display. Press the
button to restore normal playback.
Additional Functions MP3/WMA CDs
Skip Album
Press DIR+ (23) or DIR- (18) to skip to the next or previous
album. Playback starts automatically with the first track of
the selected album.
Search Function
Title Search
Press */+ / AS/PS (21).
Turn the VOL multicontroller (6) until the desired track
number is shown on the display.
Press SEL (6) to confirm. The selected track is played.
File and Album Name Search
Press */+ / AS/PS (21) twice.
Turn the VOL multicontroller (6) until the desired char-
acter is shown on the display and confirm the setting by
pressing the SEL button (6).
Repeat this step until the desired characters are entered.
Press
/LOU/BND (15) to confirm. The tracks contain-
ing the entered sequence of characters are shown.
Select the desired track by turning the VOL multicon-
troller (6). Start the playback by pressing the SEL button.
Directory Search
Press */+ / AS/PS (21) three times.
Select the desired directory by turning the VOL multicon-
troller (6). (ROOT = main directory)
Confirm your selection by pressing the SEL button (6).
Now select the desired title in the selected folder. Make
your selection by turning the VOL multicontroller.
Confirm your selection by pressing SEL. The title is
searched and played.
NOTE:
In order to return to the previous folder level, select the
" '' " symbol. Confirm your selection by pressing the SEL
button.
