6 Description and function

6.1 Description of the pump

Fully submersible, multistage submersible pump
with radial (size 02.. and 04..) impellers in a sec-
tional construction. Pressure housing, jacket pipe,
graduated jacket and suction strainer in stainless
steel. Built-in non-return valve in pump head. All
the parts in contact with the fluid are made in a
corrosion-free material. Easy installation of
hydraulics and motor through flange standard
Nema 4"
Corrosion-free AC motor with lacquer-insulated
windings in hermetically sealed stator for direct
starting with self-lubricating bearings.
The single phase motor equipped with integrated
starting electronics, a condenser, lightning and
motor protection and a vibration moment func-
tion. The motor is cooled by transmitting the
waste heat to the fluid around the outside jacket
of the motor. The minimum flow speed of the fluid
along the motor is 10cm/sec.
6.1.1 Function - Sub-Economy 1 (Fluid control)
As soon as a tap is opened, the pressure in the pipe
drops and the pump starts as soon as the pressure
drops below the limit value of 2.2. bar.
The pump pumps as long as a minimal flow volume
passes through the pipe.If the tape is closed, the
pump stops automatically after a few seconds.
The automatic control system protects the pump
against dry running (e.g. no water in the cistern) by
switching off the motor.This process is displayed
by the red LED (fault).The RESET button can be
used to re-start the pump.

6.1.2 Function - Sub-Economy 2 (Pressure tank and
pressure switch)
During operation, the tank is filled with water and
compresses the nitrogen in the tank.As soon as
the set switch-off pressure of the pressure switch
on the diaphragm tank is reached, the pump stops.
If a tap is opened, the diaphragm tank pushes
water into the pipe.If the set switch-on pressure
of the pressure monitor is reached through the
removal of water, the pump starts, depending on
the pressure, and tops up the pipe and the dia-
phragm tank.
The pressure switch controls the water pressure
by starting the pump. The current pressure can be
read off on the pressure gauge.The water reserve
in the pressure tank prevents the pump from
starting up before the switch-on point if little
water is removed.
