Before initial operation
Description
The DC 125-S is an electrically powered diamond cutter for professional use in
construction.
The following conditions must be observed when the machine is in use:
– The machine must be connected to an AC mains supply which complies with the
information printed on the rating plate.
– The machine is for hand-held use only.
– Use only insert tools which are intended for use with this machine.
Disc guard
The disc guard must always be fitted while the diamond cutter is in use. The guard is
equipped with four locating lugs so that only the approved guard and, therefore, only
the approved grinding discs can be fitted.
The locating lugs of the approved disc guard run in the guide groove on the spindle
collar. This prevents the disc guard from contacting the disc.
The guard can be adjusted to the position required for the work being carried out.
When adjusting the guard, ensure that the closed side is towards the operator's body.
The machine is equipped with a bayonet-type quick-release adjustment device for the
disc guard.
Fitting the guard
Removing the guard
Press release button (5) and rotate the guard until the two triangular marks are aligned.
Side handle
For safety reasons, the side handle (3) must always be fitted and used. The side han-
dle (3) may be screwed on to the left or the right side of the tool.
