Faults
The motor protection switch
has been triggered or the
mains fuses have melted.
Alternating pump opera-
tion is not working (double
pump systems) – replace if
necessary.
Cause
The motor was connected incorrectly. Check the motor connections on the
Short circuit in the supply cables, in
the coil, or the motor connections.
The motor protection switch and fus-
es were set too low for the required
motor power or were not sufficiently
dimensioned.
The ambient temperature on the
switch cabinet was unnecessarily
high.
The switching relay is defective.
The level switches are not correctly
switched/connected.
Remedy
control unit.
Disconnect the motor cable on the
control side and measure the motor
insulation/coils. Check whether a
short circuit is present or a phase
has earthed. (See section 9.2)
Check the dimensioning and replace
with appropriate elements.
Ensure sufficient air circulation/
cooling of the control system – if
necessary, install fans.
Check the switching relay
Check and/or readjust the terminal
assignment of the level switches and
the control system.
