Using the remote control
The remote control transmits a directional infrared beam.
Use the remote control within 6 m of this unit and point it
toward the remote control sensor on the main unit during
operation.
Handling the remote control
• Do not spill water or other liquids on the remote
control.
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not leave or store the remote control in the
following types of conditions:
– places of high humidity, such as near a bath
– high temperatures, such as near a heater or stove
– extremely low temperatures
– dusty places
• Do not expose the remote control sensor on the main
unit to direct sunlight or lighting (inverted fluorescent

• If the batteries grow old, the effective operation
distance of the remote control decreases considerably.
If this happens, replace the batteries with two new ones
as soon as possible.
