6. Safety information
The guarantee/warranty will expire if damage is incurred resulting from non-compliance with the operating
instructions! We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
We do not assume any liability for property damage and personal injury caused by improper use or non-compli-
ance with the safety instructions. In such cases the warranty/guarantee is voided.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and approval rea-
sons (CE). Do not open or disassemble the product (apart from the necessary steps for inserting/changing the
batteries).
• The outdoor sensor is supplied with voltage by two AAA/Micro type batteries.
• The basis station is supplied with voltage via four type AA/Mignon batteries or the enclosed plug-in mains adapt-
er. The mains adapter is constructed according to protection class II. Only a proper mains socket (100-240 V
50-60 Hz) of the public supply net must be used as voltage source.
• Make sure that the connection cable of the plug-in mains adapter is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp
edges or put under mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the plug-in mains adapter from ex-
treme heat or cold. Do not modify the plug-in mains adapter. Otherwise the plug-in mains adapter may be
damaged. A damaged plug-in mains adapter can cause a deadly electric shock.
• If the plug-in mains adapter or its cable are damaged, do not touch them. First, power down the respective
mains socket (e.g. via the respective FI switch and circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the plug-in mains
adapter from the mains socket. Never use the product if the plug-in mains adapter is damaged.
• Never pull the cable of the plug-in mains adapter. Always unplug it from the mains socket by pulling at the plug
casing.
• Never touch the plug-in mains adapter with wet or damp hands. There is the risk of a potentially fatal electric
shock!
• Always disconnect the plug-in mains adapter before cleaning the basic station.
• The weather station is only suitable for dry, closed rooms. Do not expose it to direct sunlight, heavy heat, cold,
dampness, strong vibrations or high mechanical stress.
• The outdoor sensor is suitable for operation in protected outdoor areas. Do not operate the product in or under
water; it would be destroyed.
• Never pour out fluids over the weather station or the plug-in mains adapter. There is great danger of fire or
potentially fatal electric shock. If this is the case, first power down the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off
circuit breaker and FI switch) and then pull the plug-in mains adapter from the socket. Disconnect all cables
from the device. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Make sure the plug-in mains adapter is sufficiently ventilated when in operation. Never cover the casing.
