Playing back messages from the handset
In the "Answering machine" menu, select "Mess. playback" and con-
firm with "OK".
The messages stored on the answering machine will now be played back.
If "Not possible" is shown on the display of your handset, then the answer-
ing machine is currently being used by someone else.
To skip a message, press the number 6 on the keypad.
To jump to the start of the current message, press the number 4 on the
keypad.
To play back the previous message, press the number 4 on the keypad
twice in rapid succession.
To end the playback, press the call key.
Playing back messages from a different telephone extension
You can play back the messages on your answering machine from a different
extension, such as a mobile phone or a telephone booth.
Proceed as follows:
Dial the telephone number of your connection.
If your answering machine is switched on, press the asterisk key on the
telephone.
You will hear the announcement "Please enter your PIN".
Enter your remote enquiry PIN now with the keypad.
If you have new messages, you will hear the announcement "You have X
new messages" ("X" stands for the number). If you do not have any new
messages, you will hear the announcement "You have no new messages".
To operate the answering machine, use the number keys on the telephone.
