Economy mode

In the economy mode, you can avoid connection fees when playing back
your answering machine from outside. In economy mode, the answering
machine switches on after four ringing signals for the FIRST caller. For every
subsequent call, the answering machine switches on after the first ringing
signal. Read page 51 to find out how to listen to and set your personal mes-
sages from outside.
To check if you have new messages, proceed as follows:
 Call your connection from the outside.
 If new messages have been recorded, the answering machine will switch
on after the first ringing signal.
 If you hear a second ringing signal, then this means that no new mes-
sages have been recorded for you.
 In this case, hang up immediately. Otherwise, the answering machine
will switch on after the fourth ringing signal.

Remote enquiry

You can activate the remote enquiry to listen to recorded messages from a
different telephone.
 In the "Settings " menu, select "Remote enquiry" and confirm with
"OK".
 Select "On" or "Off" and confirm with "OK".

Changing the remote enquiry PIN

The PIN is a password and is used to prevent strangers from using the remote
enquiry of your answering machine. The default setting for the PIN is "0000".
This PIN is not identical with the system PIN.
 In the "Settings" menu, select "Change PIN".
