Preparation with low acrylamide
content
Deep fry food golden yellow instead of dark
or brown, remove burnt remnants.
Do not deep fry starchy food, in particular
cereal and potato products at a temperature
above 170 °C.
Deep frying
Preferably use oil.
Deep fry with inserted basket only.

Pour in oil or fat, observing MIN and MAX
marks. Always melt fat separately
beforehand.

Plug in the appliance and set the switch
to
, the indicator light comes on.
S
Set the required temperature, the indicator
light goes out as soon as the temperature
is reached.

Put food in the basket.
S
Slowly lower the basket and close the lid.
S
As soon as the food is ready, remove the lid,
raise the basket and leave to drip (Fig. 7).

After frying, pull out the mains plug.
Using solid fat
S
Cut up fresh fat and melt at a very low heat
in a separate pan which has a spout for
pouring out the fat.

Carefully pour the liquefied fat into the
deep fat fryer and close the lid. Now heat the
deep fat fryer to the required temperature.
Used fat which has solidified in the deep fat
fryer must be reheated very carefully.

First, carefully make holes in the fat with
a wooden or plastic spoon, ensuring
that you do not damage the heater and
thermostat.

Close the lid and then melt the fat at the
lowest temperature setting of 160 °C.
Important:
Always keep the lid closed to prevent splashes.
Liquefied fat which comes into direct contact
with the heater may splash through the outer
solid layer of fat.
Tip:
After using the deep fat fryer, filter the slightly
cooled oil or still liquid fat through a fine filter
so that the oil can be used more often.
Store the filtered oil either in the cleaned
deep fat fryer in a cool room or in a separate
receptacle in the refrigerator.

Old or dirty fat or oil will ignite if overheated.
Therefore, change oil/fat in good time. In the
event of a fire, pull out the mains plug and
close the lid to extinguish the burning oil/fat.

Cleaning the appliance

Never immerse the control unit and heater
in water or put in the dishwasher!
Do not use a steam cleaner.
Do not use sharp or abrasive detergents.

Troubleshooting

The deep fat fryer is not heating and the
indicator light does not come on.
The deep fat fryer has overheated and the
overheating protection system has actuated.
-> Leave the deep fat fryer to cool down
and then press the Reset button (Fig. 1).
The control unit and heater have not been
attached correctly > Place the control unit
properly on the guide fins and press down
(Fig. 8).
Warning
Pull out the mains plug and leave the
deep fat fryer to cool down.
Wipe the control unit and heater with a damp
cloth and mild detergent.
The stainless steel pan, basket, lid and
housing can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Always dry all parts thoroughly.
