Performing a Firmware Update via USB Stick (only COMfortel
3600 IP)
Note: Current firmware files are available on the Internet (see
swald.de/service).
The operation guide of the telephone describes further alternatives of the
firmware update.
Requirements
The firmware file (*.rom) saved on a USB stick
Steps to Take
Insert the USB stick into the USB port on the bottom side of the telephone.
1.
Tap on All apps > Settings > Update & Provisioning.
2.
Tap on Update.
3.
Press the Back key.
4.
Tap on Shutdown/Reboot > Reboot.

If the description of the new function is missing after the installation of a
firmware update, you will find current instruction manuals on the Internet
(see www.auerswald.de/service).
In order to use the new features after a firmware update of the telephone,
an update of the PBX firmware is often necessary (see PBX operation
guide).

If the telephone can find an appropriate firmware file on the USB stick,
this file will be displayed under Update from USB stick.
The firmware file is loaded into the telephone.
The immediate reboot of the telephone activates the new firmware.
