Selecting program
Press the key to open the program
selection menu.
Turn the control knob

until the
desired program is shown on the
display.
Reset function
Press and hold the key for 5 seconds.
Flashing LED indicates that the relevant
program is reset to factory settings.

Primary parameters
Set one of the following primary
parameters at your own option: welding
current, wire feed speed or thickness of
material.

Arc length
The arc length can be adjusted as
required. Press the key under the symbol
and turn the control knob until the
desired arc length is achieved (-9.9 to
+9.9).

to switch between display
of voltage and voltage trim.

Control knob
Adjustment of welding current, wire
feed speed, thickness of material and
arc length. If the key for secondary
parameters is active, it is possible to
trim the parameters lying behind.

Selecting trigger mode
Change between 2-stroke (LED off) and
4-stroke (LED on).
2-stroke: The welding process starts
when the torch trigger is activated and
ends when the torch trigger is released.
4-stroke: The welding process starts
when the torch trigger is activated and
released (hotstart is active until release
of torch trigger) and ends when the
torch trigger is activated again.

Tack-welding function
When this function is activated, hotstart
and slope down are not active.

Wire inching
Press the key and hold it down while
activating the torch trigger. Release
the key when wire inching starts. Wire
inching stops when the torch trigger
is deactivated. Omega 400 has an
additional wire inching key inside the
wire chamber.
