Danger when overcoming stairs/obstacles
WARNING
Risk of falling in case of lacking assistance. Do not ascend or descend stairs without the assistance
of attendants. If devices such as ramps or elevators are available, they should be used. If wheelchair-
friendly access is missing, two attendants must carry the wheelchair over the obstacle.
WARNING
Risk of falling as a result of incorrectly set anti-tipper. If only one attendant is available when as-
cending or descending stairs / undropped kerbs, an incorrectly set anti-tipper can lead to severe falls.
If an anti-tipper is mounted, adjust the anti-tipper to the disengaged position, so that it does not interfere
with the stairs / undropped kerbs during ascending or descending. Afterwards, bring the anti-tipper
back to its operational position.
WARNING
Risk of falling as a result of lifting the wheelchair incorrectly. Attendants must lift the wheelchair only
by parts that are firmly attached (e.g. not at the footrest or rear wheels). If your wheelchair is equipped
with height-adjustable push handles, ensure that the clamp levers are always firmly tightened.
WARNING
Risk of tipping when using lifting platforms. Ensure that the anti-tipper (if mounted) is outside the
danger-area.
Danger when getting into the wheelchair
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to incorrect boarding.
• Activate the wheel lock each time before you get into, out of, or transfer to or from the wheelchair.
• If possible, the footplates should be flipped up before getting into or out of the wheelchair.
• Always get into the wheelchair from the side, where possible.
