Problem
Pilot light (6) flashes
The steam generator
does not come on.
The iron does not

Possible causes
1. Boiler must be rinsed.

Solution
1. Rinse the boiler according to the
cleaning instructions in this manual.
1. Check the mains cable (10), the plug
and the socket.
2. Set the main power button (8) to the "I"
position (illuminated in red*).

2. Set the temperature to the desired
position.
1. This is completely normal and will stop
after a short while.
2. Clean the soleplate according to the
cleaning instructions in this manual.
1. Reduce the steam flow when ironing at
low temperatures.
2. Point the iron away from the ironing
area and press the steam release
button until steam is produced.
3. Clean the boiler as described in section
"Calc'n'Clean".
1. Use tap water mixed 50% with distilled
or demineralised water. To prolong the
optimum steam function, mix tap water
with distilled water 1:1. If the tap water
in your district is very hard, mix tap
water with distilled water 1:2.
2. Clean the soleplate with a damp cloth.
Never add products to the water.
1. Set the main power button (8) to the "I"
position (illuminated in red*), and/or fill
the water tank.
2. Fit the water tank back onto the hou sing
correctly (you will hear a click).
3. Increase the steam flow.

material being ironed and clean the
