minimum) places an adequate load on the motor, as if the helicopter were climbing,
and you can check the carburettor settings.
'
TIP !
When you are using the slider, the throttle can only be varied within the range
between full throttle and the auto-rotation value. If you wish to close the carburettor
further using the slider, you must reduce the value for A-ROT TH (0% to 24%, MIX
menu).

3.2.7. Throttle trim

!
!
The trim slider adjacent to the collective
pitch stick only affects the throttle!
Moving the trim slider changes the idle
setting (throttle at collective pitch minimum).
At the same time it offsets the throttle curve
in the collective pitch range between centre
and minimum.
The trim has no effect in the range between
stick centre and maximum collective pitch.
Once you have adjusted the motor correctly, move the auto-rotation switch to the
auto-rotation position. Now adjust the value of A-ROT TH (see 8.6.4.) so that the
motor runs reliably at idle, but without the clutch showing any tendency at all to
engage.
Once you have set the throttle correctly for auto-rotation, in the interests of safety we
recommend that you switch to auto-rotation before starting the motor. This
eliminates the danger that the motor might rev up if you accidentally advance the
collective pitch stick (e.g. when you hang the transmitter strap round your neck).
!
!
When you are flying, the throttle slider must be left at idle! This ensures that
the throttle runs to the value you have set in the menu point A-ROT TH when you
switch to AUTO-ROTATION. You can cut the motor at any time by operating the
MOTOR OFF switch.

3.2.8. Test-flying

The most important parts of the test-flying process are:
§
Adjusting the throttle / collective pitch curve
§
Adjusting static tail rotor compensation
a) Adjusting throttle and collective pitch
The first step is to adjust the relationship between throttle and collective pitch. The
purpose of this process is to achieve a constant system rotational speed over the full
range of collective pitch travel.
