– W hen the device is on, the pedal (4.32) can-
not be put into reverse («R»).
NOTE Speed may vary from that set when go-
ing up or down hill.
To turn off the device and reset pedal speed
control (4.32) just:
– p ress the drive pedal (4.32) in the «F» direc-
tion (forward gear);
or
– press the brake pedal (4.31).
In both cases the mushroom-head button auto-
matically returns to position «A».
IMPORTANT Always avoid pressing the
mushroom-head button to turn off the device.
4.13 GRASS CATCHER TIPPING
CONTROL (Fig. 4.1 no 13)
Manual control
The grass catcher may be tipped to empty
by pulling the lever (13.1), whichcan be ex-
tracted from its housing.
Electric control
The grass catcher may beemptied by
pressing the push-button (13.2), keeping it
pressed untilthe control motor stops.
The grass catcher returns to the working
position by pressing thepush-button (13.3),
keeping it presseduntil the pawl hooks into
place and thecontrol motor stops.
4.31 BRAKE PEDAL (Fig. 4.2 no.31)
This pedal works the brake on the rear wheels.
4.32 CLUTCH PEDAL (Fig. 4.2 no.32)
This pedal engages drive in the wheels and con-
trols the machine's forward and reverse speed.
– T o engage forward gear just press it in the «F»
direction with the tip of your foot, noting that
increasing the pressure on the pedal progres-
sively increases the speed of the machine.
– R everse is engaged by pressing the pedal
with the heel towards «R».
– T he pedal automatically goes into neutral «N»
when released.
– T he "neutral" condition «N» is shown bythe
lighting of a pilot lamp (4.7.e).
