ADAPTATION
TO
YOUR
LOCAL
POWER
LINE
The
operating
voltage
of the type
B TC-366-4
can
be adjusted
for your
local power
line
by resetting the
Voltage Selector.
And
if the
fine frequency
differs
from
what
the
set
is adjusted
for,
reconnect
the
tapping
of the
capacitor
and
change
the
Motor
Pulley.
For frequency
adaptation,
consult
your
nearest
SONY
dealer.
Voltage
selection
The Voitage
Selector
is located
on the right side of the
recorder,
and
used
for selecting
the
operating
AC
power
line voltage
of
either
100,
110,
117,
125, 220
or 240 V.
To reset the selector,
pull it out
and
firmly
reinsert
it to the
selector
plate
with
the
Proper
voltage
figure
appearing
in the
cutout
of the
cap.
Frequency
adaptation
Remove
the top
panel
as
described
in ''How
to remove
the top
panel''
on
page
24,
The
capacitor
and
the
Motor
Pulley
are
Jocated
as
illustrated.
1.
Check
whether
the
tapping
of the
capacitor
is correctly
set
for operating
on
the
line frequency
of your
local
area.
If
it is not
correctly
set
for, soldering
is
necessary
for
con-
nection
between
terminals.
2.
Remove
the
rubber
belt from
the Motor
Pulley and the idler
wheel.
3.
Remove
the
Motor
Pulley
by loosening
the
screw
on
it.
4.
Substitute
the supplied
Motor
Pulley
in place
of the original
and tighten the screw.
5.
Thread
the
rubber
belt on
the
Motor
Pulley
and
the
idler
wheel.
6.
Replace
the
top
pane!
to the
recorder.
