Safety
■ If the supply cord is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
■ The appliance must always
be disconnected from the
mains if it is not supervised
and before assembly, disas-
sembly or cleaning.
■ Do not open the housing; in-
stead, have repair work car-
ried out in a specialist work-
shop. Liability and warranty
claims will be rejected in the
event of repairs performed
by the user, improper connec-
tion or incorrect operation.
■ Only parts that comply with
the original device data may
be used for repairs.
■ Never immerse the appli-
ance, the mains cord or the
mains plug in water or in any
other liquid.
■ Never touch the mains plug
with damp hands.
■ Never pull the mains plug out
of the socket by the mains
cord; always hold the mains
plug itself.
■ Never use the mains cord as
a carrying strap.
■ Keep the appliance, mains
plug and mains cord away
from open flames and hot
surfaces.
■ Lay out the mains cord in
such a way that it does not
become a trip hazard.
■ Do not kink the mains cord or
lay it over sharp edges.
■ Never store the appliance
in such a way that it can fall
into a bathtub or sink.
■ Never touch an electrical ap-
pliance if it has fallen into wa-
ter. In such a case, immedi-
ately unplug the mains plug
from the socket.
■ In the event of a fault, always
disconnect the appliance
from the mains supply.
■ Note that appliances are
not intended to be operat-
ed by means of an exter-
nal timer or separate re-
mote-control system.
