Switch off the device and remove the bat-
tery (9).
You should have any repair and mainten-
ance work that is not described in these
instructions carried out by our Service
Centre. Only use original replacement
parts.
Cleaning
WARNING! Electric shock! Never
spray down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemical sub-
stances may attack the plastic parts of the
machine. Do not use any cleaning agents
or solvents.
• Keep the ventilation slits, motor housing
and handles of the machine clean. Use
a damp cloth or brush to do this.
Cleaning and maintaining the
safety cutter bar
Tools and aids required
• Cloth
• Care oil spray
Care after each use
• Remove any green cuttings that are
stuck.
• Clean the safety cutter bar (2) with an
oily cloth.
• Maintain the safety cutter bar (2) with
a care oil spray.
Maintenance
• Check the device before each use for
obvious defects such as loose, worn or
damaged parts. Ensure that the screws
in the safety cutter bar (2) are firmly in
place.
• Check the covers and protective
devices (1/3) for damage and correct
fit. Replace these if necessary or have
them repaired by the service centre.

• You can smooth out slight nicks on the
cutting teeth yourself. To do this, pull
off the cutting edges with an oil stone.
Only sharp cutting teeth provide a
good cutting performance.
• Blunt, bent or damaged safety cutter
bars must be replaced.
Have any work that is not described in this
instruction manual performed by our ser-
vice centre. Only use original parts.

• Phillips screwdriver (not included)
Replacing the hand protection
(Fig. D)
1. Loosen the two screws (17) on the
hand protection (3) with a screwdriver.
2. Replace the damaged hand protection
(3).
3. Fasten the new hand protection (3)
with the two screws (17).
Storage
Always store the device and accessories:
• clean
• dry
• protected against dust
• with encasing (14) over the safety cut-
ter bar (2)
• out of the reach of children
The storage temperature for the battery
and the device is between 0°C and
45°C. Avoid extreme cold or heat during
storage to ensure the battery output is not
adversely affected.
Remove the battery from the device before
storing the device (see the separate oper-
ating instructions for the battery and char-
ger).
