10.2 Safety for specific groups of people
•
This appliance can be used by children above 8 years of age, and by persons with
limited physical, sensory or mental aptitude or lack of experience and/or
knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and understand the associated hazards.
•
Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance. Keep children under 8
years of age away from the appliance or supervise them at all times.
10.3 Safety instructions for set-up and installation
•
The installation work and electrical cabling may only be carried out by
professionals in accordance with all the relevant regulations and standards
applicable in your country, including the fire protection measures.
•
Only install and connect the appliance according to the instructions.
•
Do not set up the appliance outdoors.
•
Set up the appliance so that the mains plug is easily accessible.
•
An inadequate circulation of air can cause a build-up of heat that can lead to a fire.

10.4 Electrical safety
The electrical safety is only guaranteed when the appliance is connected to a properly
earthed system and complies with the electrical safety standards.
•
Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply using multiple socket
strips.
•
Do not route the mains power cable under voltage.
•
Do not kink the mains power cable.
•
Do not pull the mains plug out of the plug socket at the mains power cable.
•
Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.

If the mains power cable or mains plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any
more.
•
Keep children under 8 years of age away from the mains power cable for risk of
strangulation.
10.5 Safety instructions for daily use of the oven
•
Do not store highly flammable materials near the appliance.
•
Never use the appliance to heat a room.
•
Donot touchhot surfaces (e.g. heating elements or glass doors). Use heat-resistant
gloves or oven mitts. Protect face.
•
During use, the enamel coating may change colour. This is completely normal and
does not represent an impairment of the function and other usage characteristics
and is therefore not a defect in the sense of warranty.
Procedure in case of fire
Never try to extinguish burning oil or fat with water.
1. Switch off the appliance. Disconnect the power supply with the switch on the fuse
box.
2. Cover flames with a fire blanket or lid.
3. If the fire spreads, call the fire brigade immediately, inform fellow occupants and
leave the fire area.
