7.2. Mains connection
 Place the flat end in the ~ A C I N connection and the other end of the cable
into a properly installed 230 V ~ 50 Hz earthed power socket which is accessible
at all times.
8. Getting started
8.1. Switching on the device/standby
 First switch on the mains switch on the back of the device and move it to posi-
tion I .
 Press the
button to switch on the device.
 Press the
button again to switch the device back into standby mode. The
time will be displayed.
When the device is switched on for the first time or if the device has
been disconnected from the mains, SYNC... is shown on the display.
This automatically stores stations in FM and DAB mode. The process will
complete after a few seconds.
8.2. Adjusting the aerial
 Pull out the telescopic aerial on the back of the device completely.
The aerial should be fully extended to ensure good signal reception and
sound quality.
