8.2.3 Using the Grounding Monitoring Device for FIBC (big bag)
Preparation
▶
Set the DIP switch to "FIBC (big bag)" operating mode; see chapter 5.1.1.
▶
Connect the power supply, relay contacts and grounding cable.
Initial state
• The clamp is at the insulated suspension point.
• The red indicator lamp is lit.
• Relay R1 is de-energised.
• Relay R2 is not used in the "FIBC (big bag)" setting.
Connecting the clamp
▶
Connect the clamp to the FIBC (big bag) connection.
Through a resistance of 100 kΩ, the electrostatic charge is safely discharged.
▶
Ground the FIBC (big bag) using the suspension point and, if necessary, using an
additional grounding clamp.
• After approx. 5 s, the red indicator lamp goes out and relay R1 is energised.
Removing the clamp from the FIBC (big bag)
▶
Remove the clamp from the FIBC (big bag) and connect it to the insulated suspension
point.
• The green indicator lamp goes out and the red indicator lamp lights up. After 5 s without a
connection, relay R1 is de-energised.
