5.3 Adjustment
To determine a suitable mounting position, the sensor
can be placed in an adjustment mode.
• Hold metal object in the near range (cf. Fig. 1 and,
depending on the sensor type, Tab. 1, Tab. 2 or
Tab. 3) of the sensor for around 5 s; the sensor is
in the adjustment mode when the yellow signal LED
flashes.
The output remains in the safe state in the adjustment
mode.
• To identify the enable zone, move the actuating
element in front of the sensor; the yellow signal LED
extinguishes when the actuating element is in the
enable zone.
• Mount sensor and actuating element in the position
found.
• Switch off adjustment mode by interrupting the
power supply or removing the activation for more
than 2 s.
