Defect
Compressor not starting after
being switched on
After reaching the closed pressu-
re, the compressor runs or bu96es
for a short time and then switches
off automatically
Compressor running constantly
Compressor gets started too often Too much condensate in the air jet Drain the condensate
Safety valve blowing off
Compressor getting warm too
much
Compressor being overheated
and keeps switching off
Causes
Pressure in the air jet exceeds the
closing pressure
Defective supply
Defective pressure switch
Worn carbons
Electric cable is too long or its cross
section is too small
Suction filter is very dirty
Pneumatic tools have high air
consumption
Leaking on the compressor
Compressed-air pipeline leaking
Drain valve is open or missing
Compressor is overloaded
Pressure in the air jet exceeds the
set cut-off pressure
Safety valve is defective
Air supply is not sufficient
Cooling fins on the cylinder (cylin-
der head) are dirty
Too long time of appliance
operation
Compressor is overloaded
Compressor is defective
Compressor under undervoltage
Outdoor temperature of 35°C
Measure
Release the pressure in the air jet
so that the pressure switch gets
automatically switched on
Have the current supply checked by
an authorised person
Have the pressure switch replaced
by an authorised person (Güde
service centre)
Replace the carbons
Check the length and cross section
of the electric cable
Clean or replace the suction filter
Check the pneumatic tool air
consumption;
seek an authorised compressed air
dealer
Localise the leaking, contact the
Güde service centre
Contact the Güde service centre
Close or insert the drain valve
Have the pressure switch adjusted/
replaced by an authorised person
(Güde service centre)
Replace the safety valve or contact
the Güde service centre
Make sure sufficient air supply and
outlet (minimum distance from wall
is 40 cm) is provided
Clean the cooling fins on the cylin-
der (cylinder head)
