Indicator light
The indicator light shows the energizer and battery status:
Indicator light
Indicator light illuminates green
for two seconds when energizer is
first switched on.
Indicator light flashes green once
every 1.5 seconds.
Indicator light flashes green once
every three seconds (only when
connected to a 12 V external
battery).
Indicator light illuminates red for
two seconds when energizer is
first switched on.
Indicator light flashes red once
every 1.5 seconds.

Indicates
Battery voltage is OK.
Energizer is operating and the
energizer output voltage is OK.
Battery voltage has dropped
below 11.8 V.
Battery voltage is low.
Energizer is operating but the
energizer output voltage is low
(less than 3 kV).
Action
Recharge or replace external
12 V battery.
Replace internal 9 V battery.
Recharge or replace external
12 V battery.
Check that all the connections
with the fence and earth rod are
firm and secure. If necessary,
clean away any corrosion.
Check that the earth rod is
pushed firmly into firm ground.
Check for faults in the fence-line
caused by trees or vegetation.
If necessary, remove obstructions
and mend the fence.
Check that the energizer rating is
adequate for the length of the
fence. If necessary, reduce the
length of the fence or reduce the
number of fence wires.
Alternatively, divide the fence-line
intosmaller zones, with each
zone powered by a separate
energizer.
