General edge conditions

The following edge conditons are vaild for the BASIC STEPPER:
• The timer operates with 32 Stepper Programs, which are assigned each to 32
electrodes.
• A welding program works with the Stepper Program of the for the welding
program assigned electrode.
• Each Stepper Program has an own spot counter, which the number of welding
spots count which are welded with this electrode. In case of electrode change
the counter will be set to „0".
• Each Stepper Program has five steps, which duration is defined with the
number of spots. Not used steps have a duration of 0 welding spots, that
means they will be jumped over. The value range of these spot counters is
0 ... 9999.
• The %I of the Main-weld time of a welding program is valid as reference value
for the %I compensation with the Basic Stepper. All calculations correlate to this
value.
The %I of the Pre-weld time and Post-weld time are changed in the same ratio
as the %I of the Main-weld time. Thereto the percentage difference between the
base %I of the main weld-time and the required %I of the main-weld time will be
calculated, also with default in kA. This percentage value will be factored in the
%I in the both other weldtimes, independent if the %I is given in kA (KSR) or
SKT (PHA).
• The Stepper operates basically always with linear interpolation between the
separate steps.
• Via a user interface each stepper can be parametrized individually:
Stepper on / off. With switched off stepper the timer reports no
o
electrode state more.
Stepper-Reset, that means all counter are set „0".
o
Change of the spot and step counters to any value within the
o
valid values range.
• A Stepper-Reset via the input „acknowledge tip change" or via a command of
the user interface will be reported in the error protocol.
• If the stepper reach the first spot in the last step, then the electrode state
"prewarning" will be output and reported in the error protocol.
• If the stepper has reached the last spot in the last step, then the electrode state
„ Tip dresser at end of life " will be output and reported in the error protocol.
• %I defaults in kA (KSR) can be modified with
a percentage value or
o
a kA value,
o
%I defaults in scale units (PHA) can only be changed with a percentage value.
• The input oft the adjustment with KSR is
relative in % or
o
absolute in kA,
o
never both at the same time.
o
• %I changes in % with power data in scale units (PHA) are considered as
percentage %I adjustement and not as percentage scale unit adjustment..
Thereto will be from the actual scale unit value with the formula
%I = (scale units * 100 / 106) + 5,5
the actual percentage %I determined, then be raised with the wished
percentage value and after it the belonging scale unit value counted back.
With this proceeding will be reached a comparable %I change as with a %I
power data in kA.
• A %I change comes always is added to the %I of the previous step.
