12. Handling

• Observe all safety notes in these operating instructions and all other notes in the respective chapters.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands! There is the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock!
• If the mains plug is wet, dry it carefully before plugging it into a mains socket!
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation or during transport:
- extreme cold or heat
- direct solar irradiation
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibration
• Never reach into the product's openings; do not push any objects into them.
• If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room, it is possible that condensation develops. Let the
product reach room temperature before taking it into operation again. This may take several hours.
There is a danger of potentially fatal electric shock (e.g. when the mains plug is moistened by
condensation).
• When setting up and operating, ensure that neither the mains cable nor the hoses are bent, crushed or
otherwise damaged.
• Inspect the product for damage or leaks regularly.
If you find any damage, the product must NOT be used; disconnect it from the mains voltage at once and
take it to a specialist workshop.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device shows any visible damage,
- the device no longer functions and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
- after it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Do not pull the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable! Always pull the mains plug from
the mains socket by the lateral grip areas. Otherwise, the mains cable may be damaged; danger to life
from electric shock!
• Never take the clear water pump apart. The clear water pump contains no parts that require maintenance
by you. Leave the repair to a specialist.
