Always run the power cord behind the machine. Lay the power cord
so that it is not caught by branches or the like during sawing.
▪
The electric saw must not be used for forestry work (for felling and
de-foresting). The necessary mobility and safety of the saw guide is
not guaranteed here by the cable connection!
▪
Do not use the chain saw and the guide bar for lifting and scooping
when removing pieces of wood or other.
▪
Always stand on slopes when working on sloping ground. When
felling, only stop sideways from the falling tree. When returning to
the felled section, be aware of falling branches. Pay attention to roll-
up tree trunks.
▪
Delimbing work may only be carried out by trained persons! Risk of
injury! Do not carry out delimbing work on the trunk.
▪
Lancing and longitudinal cuts may only be carried out by specially
trained persons (increased risk of kickback). Apply longitudinal cuts
at as shallow an angle as possible. Here, special care should be
taken as the claw stop cannot be used.
▪
Sawing wood that is under tension requires special care! Under
tension wood, which is released by sawing from the tension,
sometimes reacts completely uncontrolled. This can lead to severe
or even fatal injuries. Such work may only be carried out by trained
professionals.
▪
Do not cut free-hanging branches from below.
▪
Be careful when cutting splintered wood. Saw-cut pieces of wood
can be carried along (risk of injury!)
▪
Switch off the chain saw before putting it down. Engage the chain
brake after switching off the machine. If the machine is temporarily
not used, it should be parked in such a way that nobody can be
endangered. If multiple cuts are made, switch off the electric saw
between cuts
▪
Try to minimize the impact of vibration as much as possible.
Exemplary measures to reduce vibration exposure include wearing
gloves while using the chain saw and limiting working time.
▪
Pull the chain saw out of the wood only with a running saw chain.
