2. Introduction
2.1 Applicability of this documentation
This documentation describes installation and commis-
sioning of the Bosch lifting platform VLH 2140.
It is a 2-post lift platform with electrohydraulic drive.
The loadbearing capacity of the lifting platform is
4000 kg.

Functioning and operation of the lifting platforms are
described in the corresponding original operating
instructions.
2.2 Installation by third parties
These installation instructions and the information
given in the original operating instructions provided
must always be heeded. If the lifting platform is not
erected by Bosch customer service or a service agent
authorized by Bosch, the lifting platform must subse-
quently be subjected to safety acceptance by Bosch
customer service or a service agent authorized by
Bosch.
Safety acceptance involves the following:

Electrical functional test and trial run as per
BGG 945.

Examination of the individual assemblies and
components.
R
Test log book entry as per BGG 945-1.
R
Personnel instruction (safety and operation).

Failure to conduct such safety acceptance will render
all warranty claims and liability invalid.

Transportation information

The VLH 2140 is normally supplied as a single pack-
ing unit on a pallet. The dimensions and weight of the
packing unit depend on the product version:

The user must provide a fork lift truck for in-house
transportation. The center of gravity and lashing points
are marked on the packaging.
