5. The indicator light (8) turns on. Wait until the light turns off.
6. Do not leave the iron sitting on the sole for long time on the same place in
order to avoid damaging the clothing.
7. Before you finish ironing, always turn the temperature control dial (9) to the
lowest position and than unplug from the wall socket.
After ironing process check if there is still enough water in the water tank. If
so, use the self cleaning function.

Automatic Shut Off Function

If the iron is switched on and not moved for longer than 8 minutes while standing
on its heel or for 30 seconds while standing on the soleplate, an internal safety
feature will switch off the iron and the auto-shutoff indicator (6) will start flashing.
Move the appliance sharply to switch on again.

Setting the Temperature

Before setting the temperature please consult the hints for care label on the
clothing. If there are no hints for care start at the lowest temperature and, if
necessary, increase the temperature until you achieve satisfactory results.
Guidelines
Temperature setting for nylon, acetate
Temperature setting for wool, silk and blends
Temperature setting for cotton and linen (steam)

Steam Ironing

1. Fill the iron with water and connect the power plug. Turn the temperature
control dial (9) to the desired temperature and wait until the indicator light (8)
turns off when the selected temperature is reached.
2. Hold the iron horizontally and adjust the amount of steam with the steam
control lever (3). Push the lever to the left for moderate steam and to the right
for full steam. When pushing the lever all the way to the left the steam is
turned off. Always make sure that there is enough water in the water tank.
