6. Fill the frying goods in the frying basket (9). The frying goods
preferably should be free from water.
7. Always grasp the lid by the handles (4) on both sides and remove
the lid from the fryer. Carefully put the frying basket (9) into the
fryer. Pay attention, hot oil can spatter. If the oil is bubbling with
ascending foam, carefully raise and lower the frying basket.
8. Make sure the lid is properly closed while
cooking. Please note that the lid has two recess-
es for the frying basket handle.
9. After frying is done lift the lid by the handles from
the fryer. Allow steam to escape. Hook the frying
basket on the edge of the container and let
excessive oil drip down. Topple over the
fried food into a suitable bowl or remove
the fried food with suitable utensils from
the frying basket.
10. Turn the thermostat controller com-
pletely counter clockwise to the position
OFF to switch off the device.
11. Pull the power plug when the device is not in use.
12. Allow the hot oil to cool down and remove debris and coatings or
breading after each use. Preferably pour the cooled oil into a bowl
and clean the oil container thoroughly. Insert a fine oil strainer or a
coffee filter into the small frying basket and filter the oil back into the
oil container.

Useful Guidelines and Hints for Frying

 To achieve golden brown fried food set the temperature to 170° C.
This temperature setting is recommended for potatoes, starchy food
or food with coating and breading. For meat and poultry without
coating, set the thermostat controller to 190° C. To fry baked goods,
select the temperature setting 170° C.
 Smoking oil is an indication that the oil is too hot and may ignite. In
this case reduce the temperature to avoid grease fire.
