may take actions and use appropriate electronic circuits that prevent the pump
from running dry.
In automatic mode (set switch to AUTOMATIC) the pump automatically
switches off when the water level has fallen below 7 cm. This effectively
prevents the pump from running dry. If the water level rises again above a
certain level, the pump automatically turns on and starts pumping (when the
power cable is plugged in).
7. Insert the power plug into a protected socket. Pumping starts. Do not have the
power cord rolled up during operation.
8. Pull the power plug to turn off the pump.

Thermal Protection

The pump is equipped with an automatic thermal protection, which prevents
damage to the pump caused by overheating. If the pump becomes too hot during
operating, it automatically switches off. Pull the plug of the pump and allow the
pump to cool down for approx. 30 minutes before you continue pumping.

Cleaning, Storing and Transport

Rinse the pump periodically by pumping clear water to ensure continuous
operation.
Unplug the power plug before undertaking any kind of maintenance work or
before cleaning.
Never use corrosive or acidic cleaners to clean the pump.
Keep the suction base (5) and the water outlet opening (6) free from dirt and
blockages of any kind.
Store the pump in a dry place that is protected from dust, dirt and frost.
The pump does not contain any parts serviceable by you. Do not disassemble
the pump and do not try to repair it yourself. In case of questions or problems
please contact the Westfalia customer service.
Carry the pump only by the carrying handle (2). Never carry, secure, pull or lift
the pump by the power cord.
