Cleaning and Storing

Before cleaning, allow the unit to cool down and unplug the power plug! Do not
immerse the unit in water or liquids of any kind!
Use a moist cloth to clean the housing of the coffee maker and allow the unit
to dry completely before the next use. Do not use metal or sharp objects,
these may damage the surfaces. Do not use abrasives, aggressive chemicals
or the likes.
Cleaning the accessory: Open the lid (1). Grasp the
handle of the filter holder cone (7) and pull it out of the
coffee maker. The permanent filter (8), the filter holder
cone (7), the measuring spoon (9) and the glass carafe
(3) can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Inserting the filter holder cone into the coffee maker:
When inserting the filter holder cone into the coffee
maker, make sure that the outlet opening with the drip-
ping protection matches the corresponding hole inside
the unit. The handle of the filter holder cone is in the
upright position. Insert the filter holder and press it down.
Fold down the handle of the filter holder at the same
time. The filter holder locks in this position. Make sure
that the lid can be closed easily.
Depending on the hardness of the water and the
frequency of use, the machine should be decalcified
from time to time.

Do not use vinegar, but rather a customary decalcifying agent based on citric
acid. Follow the instructions of the manufacturer of the decalcifying agent.
Store the coffee maker indoors in a dry place that is protected from dust, dirt
and extreme temperatures.
Store it out of reach of children.
