If you are using a direct voltage source, make certain the polarity is correct.
Components of the radio signal door chime can be destroyed by incorrect
polarity. Failure to observe these instructions will void the warranty.
Self-charging devices and toy transformers are not suitable power sources and
will result in damage to components of the device or in the module failing to
work.

Transmitter

The first time the unit is placed in service, note that the protective foil must be removed from the
battery tray (see Inserting the battery).

Nameplate

• You can enter your name in the space provided using a waterproof pen.

Installation

• Unfasten the screw (4).
Use the appropriate screwdriver to do this.
• Lift off the rear wall of the transmitter.
• Use the drilled holes of the mounting plate of the rear wall as a
template and draw the outline of the mounting holes to be
drilled.

Make sure that there are no electric wires, water pipes, or similar systems behind
where you will be drilling.
• Remove the rear wall and drill the mounting holes.
• Screw the metal plate into place with the screws included.
Use a dowel to do this if necessary.
Use the appropriate screwdriver.

Inserting the battery

• Open the battery compartment (5) by pushing its cover down-
wards.
• Remove the 12 V battery.
• Remove the protective foil from the battery tray.
• Insert the battery again, making certain the polarity is correct. For the correct polarity, please
refer to the illustration in the battery tray.
• Slide the cover back on the battery compartment.
N.B.:
Replace the batteries if the transmission performance starts to decrease or if the
transmitter is no longer working, but in any case at least once a year.

Coding

• Use the DIP switches (6) to set an individual code.
+ This code must be identical with the code of the receiver.
• Now place the transmitter back on the rear wall and reinsert the screw (4).
