Inspection before each use
Before each use inspect the device.
Do not use the rotovator if the safety equipment (pressure switch; safety
cover) are damaged or worn. Never disable the safety equipment.
If blades, mains cable or other parts of the device are damaged, do not
continue using the device until it is repaired.
Ensure that no other people (particularly children) or animals are close to
where you are working.
The connection cable must be regularly inspected for signs of damage or
ageing.
Utilisation/responsibility
You are responsible for safety within your working area.
Only use the rotovator for the purpose described in these operating
instructions.
For your own protection always wear eye and ear protection.
Wear firm shoes and long trousers for the protection of your legs.
Keep fingers and feet away from the rotating tines!
During work, ensure secure and firm standing. Caution when walking
backwards. Danger of tripping!
Never leave the rotovator unsupervised at the workplace. Should you interrupt
your work, store the rotovator in a safe place. Pull out the mains plug!
Observe the statutory regulations concerning quiet times.
The rotovator should not be operated during rain or in a damp, wet
environment.
Do not work with he rotovator in or close to a swimming pool or garden pond.
Electrical safety
The rotovator may only be operated if the connection cable is not damaged. If
the connection cable or extension cable is damaged, immediately pull out the
mains plug.
The coupling socket of an extension cable must be protected against water
splashes.
Only use permissible extension cables. (For outside, these are extension
cables with a cable quality of H07 RN-F; 3x1.5 mm
For movable devices which are used outside, we recommend the use of an
RCD with a residual current < 30 mA.
In Switzerland the utilisation of an RCD is obligatory.
