Keyboard „Mc Crypt MC-70"
Item-No. 30 13 86
Intended Use
The product is used for the generation of sounds which you can play on keys. These are replay-
ed on the built-in loudspeakers. It is possible to connect headphones or an external amplifier.
The midi jacks "MIDI-OUT" and "MIDI-IN" are available for external midi devices.
Operation is only permissible in dry, indoor areas.
You can either operate the keyboard with 6 mono batteries or a suitable, stabilised plug-in power
unit (output: +12 V DC voltage, output current at least 1A, inner contact must conduct "+" )
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks
such as short circuits, fire and electric shock etc. Do not change or modify any part of the pro-
duct. The housing must not be opened. and the labels on the product must not be damaged or
removed.
The safety instructions have to be observed without fail !
Safety Instructions
The warranty will lapse for damage due to non-compliance with these operating
instructions. We shall not be liable for any consequential loss!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The gua-
rantee will lapse in such cases.
Dear Customer, The following safety instructions are intended not only for the protec-
tion of your health but also for the protection of the device. Please read through the fol-
lowing points attentively:
• For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorised conversion and/or modifica-
tion of the device is not permitted.
• Consult suitably qualified staff, if you have doubts about how the equipment ope-
rates or about how to connect it safely.
• The device is not a toy. Keep the device out of the reach of children. Therefore par-
ticular care must be exercised if children are present. Children could attempt to
poke objects into the device. The power unit can be destroyed thereby! Children
cannot estimate the risks which can arise when handling electrical appliances.
• You can use 6 mono batteries for the power supply.
Alternative to the batteries, you can also use an external plug-in power pack (not
part of the delivery, must be ordered separately). This has to have an output cur-
rent of +12V= (direct voltage) and be able to supply current of at least 1A. The
internal contact of the low-voltage plug must bear "+" ("plus"), the external con-
tact "-" (minus).
Both the keyboard and the power unit used will be destroyed if a power unit with
other technical data is used! Apart from this, there is fatal risk through an electric
shock or fire!
• The product is approved for operation in dry, closed rooms only.
The product may not become damp or wet. Do not place vessels, vases or plants
on or alongside the device. Liquids could penetrate into the interior of the housing
and, in doing, so impair the electrical safety. Apart from that there is the greatest
risk of a fire or a fatal electric shock!
In such a case, disconnect the product immediately from the mains voltage
(remove first of all the power supply from the mains socket, then pull out the
power unit from the mains socket or take the batteries out of the device). Do not
operate the device whatsoever but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Make sure that there is sufficient ventilation; never cover the product during ope-
ration. The same applies to the power unit which you use.
• Set up the product in such a manner that it cannot fall down. Otherwise there is risk
of injury through its weight. Select a sufficiently large, smooth and stable surface.
• Never connect the product to an external power unit immediately after it has been
taken from a cold room to a warm one. The condensation arising can, under cer-
tain circumstances, lead to disturbances in the function or to damage; apart from
this, there is risk of an electric shock.
• Allow the keyboard and the external power unit (not in the scope of delivery) you
are using to reach room temperature before you connect the devices and start up
operation. This can take several hours!

Battery and accumulator instructions
• Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of their being swallowed
• Leaking or damaged batteries/accumulators can cause burning if they come into contact
• Make sure that batteries/accumulators are not be short-circuited or thrown into a fire, There
• Never take the batteries/accumulators apart!
• Batteries may not be recharged. There is a risk of explosion!
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted batteries. In this
• Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries (plus/+, minus/-).
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. In the hands of children, pla-
stic foil and/or bags and polystyrene parts etc. can turn into dangerous toys.
• Servicing, adjustment or repair work may only be carried out by a specialist/spe-
cialist workshop.
• Electrical storms can mean a risk for any electrical appliance. Pull the power unit
used for the keyboard out of the mains socket in case of an electrical storm. Also
disconnect other devices from the mains voltage and pull out the mains plug from
the mains socket.
On the accessories market, there are diverse products which can reduce the risk
for electrical devices, e.g. filters or similar lightening protection devices. There is,
however, no 100% security against damage in the case of being struck by lighte-
ning, even through the use of these devices.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Associations for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• In schools, training centres, computer and self-help workshops, use of the pro-
duct must be supervised by trained personnel in a responsible manner.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or if questions arise which are
not covered by the operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact
our technical support or another specialist.

with the skin. For this reason you should use suitable protective gloves.

manner you can avoid damage due to leaking, old batteries.
Operation with accumulators is also possible. Due to the lower voltage (accumula-
tors = 1.2 V, batteries = 1.5V) the operating time may be much shorter than with
batteries.
We therefore recommend operation with high-quality alkaline batteries or a plug-in
power unit.
