Caution!
If during DC measurements a "-" sign appears before
the measured value, the measured current is negative
(or the test leads are interchanged). Do not measure
currents in electric circuits where voltages greater
than 35 VDC might occur as otherwise your life might
be seriously endangered under unfavourable circum-
stances. Never measure currents greater than 24 mA.
Only measure currents smaller than or equal to 24 mA
in electric circuits fused by 25 mA, quick acting.
mA loop current measurement
To measure loop currents in 2-conductor loops up to 24mADC max.
proceed as follows:
a) Connect the connecting cable (flat side of the plug housing down)
with the current calibrator which is turned off. Make sure that the
connection is tightly made.
b) Set the "FUNCTION" switch to "Power / mA MEASURE".
c) Set the "RANGE" switch to the right position for two decimal
positions up to 19.99 mA max. or to the left position for one deci-
mal position and 24 mA max.
d) Open the 2-conductor loop to be measured (see also illustration)
and connect the alligator clips ("+" = red, "-" = black) of the
connecting cable in series to the object under test. The measure-
ment voltage for supplying the loop is generated by the current
calibrator (12 VDC).

bas) à l'appareil éteint. Assurez-vous qu'il est bien enfoncé.
b) Mettez le commutateur« FUNCTION » sur «Power / mA MEASURE »
c) Mettez le commutateur « RANGE » sur la position à droite pour
deux chiffres après la virgule jusqu'à 19,99 mA max. ou sur la
position à gauche pour un chiffre après la virgule et 24mA max..
d) Ouvrez la boucle à 2 conducteurs à mesurer (voir aussi illustrati-
on) et connectez les pinces crocodiles (attention : « + » rouge et «
- » noire) du câble de connexion en série à l'objet à mesurer. La
tension de mesure alimentant la boucle est produite par l'appareil
(12 VCC)

e) Mettez l'appareil en marche en mettant le commutateur « POWER
» sur « I ». Après une brève phase d'initialisation, l'appareil est
prêt à fonctionner.
