Do not reach into the machine while it is running.
The insertion tool may become hot during use.
• when changing tools
• when setting the device down
When working in walls ceiling, or floor, take care to avoid electric
cables and gas or waterpipes.
Clamp your workpiece with a clamping device. Unclamped workpi-
eces can cause severe injury and damage.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out any
work on the machine.
SPECIFIED CONDITIONS OF USE
The router can be used for rabbeting, rounding off, chamfering,
routing of edges, as well as pitting in wood and plastic.
This trim router can be used with the following types of rotary
cutting bits::
• slotter bit
• roundover bit
• trim bit
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for normal use.
MAINS CONNECTION
Connect only to single-phase AC system voltage as indicated on
the rating plate. It is also possible to connect to sockets without an
earthing contact as the design conforms to safety class II.
Appliances used at many different locations including wet room
and open air must be connected via a residual current device (FI,
RCD, PRCD) of 30mA or less.
Under the effect of extreme electromagnetic interferences from the
outside, temporary variations in the speed of rotation could arise in
particular cases.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine. Always
lead the cable away behind you.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off.
RESTART PROTECTION
The power tool is supplied with a restart protection. This prevents
the switched-on power tool from starting by itself when the power
tool is connected to the power source and from restarting after a
failure of the power supply.
If the cutting tool is outside of the workpiece switch off the power
tool and then switch it back on again in order to continue to work.
If the cutting tool is inside of the workpiece wait until the cutting
tool comes to a complete stop, disconnect the plug from the power
source, remove the cutting tool from the cut, switch off the power
tool, connect the power tool to the power source and then switch
the power tool back on again in order to continue to work.
MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out any
work on the machine.
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has to be
done by the manufacturer or his agent in order to avoid a safety
hazard.
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at all times.
Use only AEG accessories and spare parts. Should components need
to be replaced which have not been described, please contact one of
our AEG service agents (see our list of guarantee/service addresses).
