Electric connection

Warning
The appropriate regulations must be observed for the
electrical installation, in particular the following for
potentially explosive atmospheres:

Check that the power supply delivered by the coupler
agrees with the value specified on the rating plate of the
SITRANS P.
If the intrinsically-safe version has been operated with a
voltage of more than 15 V by mistake, the device may no
longer be used in intrinsically-safe applications.
The transmitter is powered from the bus coupler or link via the PROFIBUS-
PA. The bus coupler or link must obtain its supply from a source with a safety
extra-low voltage.

Route cable separate from cables with voltages > 60 V.
Avoid vicinity of large electric plant.
Only use recommended cable types.
The specifications only apply to correct installations.
