the type of workpiece it is used for.
Limit the operating time!
All stages of the operating cycle must be conside-
red (for example, times in which the electric tools
are switched off and times in which the tool is
switched on but operates without load).
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
•
Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-
king order.
•
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
•
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
•
Do not overload the appliance.
•
Have the appliance serviced whenever ne-
cessary.
•
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
•
Wear protective gloves.
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with the instructions, certain
residual risks cannot be eliminated. The fol-
lowing hazards may arise in connection with
the equipment's construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is applied.
5. Before starting the equipment
The lawn mower is delivered partly assembled.
The push bar and the grass basket must be as-
sembled before using the lawn mower. Follow the
instructions step by step and refer to the pictures
when assembling.
Important! Required assembly parts (screws,
cable guides, etc.) or functional parts (e.g. plugs,
wrenches, etc.) can be found in the molded parts
of the packaging or on the equipment.
Warning! Always pull out the safety plug be-
fore making adjustments to the equipment.
Fitting the push bar (Fig. 3a to 3c)
Take a bottom push bar (Fig. 2 /Item 3) and fasten
it with the nut (Fig. 2/Item 13) as shown in Fig. 3a.
Proceed in the same way on the other side. Screw
the top push bar (Fig. 2/Item 2) to the bottom
push bar (Fig. 2/Item 3) as shown in Fig. 3b.

Then attach the power cable to the push bar (Fig.
2/Item 14) using the cable clips (Fig. 3c).
Mounting the grass basket (Fig. 4a to 4c)
Plug the bottom and the top part of the grass
box together (Fig. 4a/Item 9, 10). To do so, place
the top part of the catch basket on a fl at, clean
surface. Beginning at the rear of the catch basket,
insert the plastic lugs (D) of the bottom part of the
catch basket one by one into the grooves of the
top part of the catch basket. Ensure that all the
plastic lugs engage correctly. Next push the grass
box handle (Fig. 4b/Item 11) into the openings on
the grass box. Check that the handle is secure
and correctly positioned. Before you fi t the grass
basket you must ensure that the motor is swit-
ched off and the blade is not rotating.
The grass box must be attached to the two hooks
on the mower. To do this, open the ejector fl ap
with one hand (Fig. 4c/Item 7) and attach the
grass box with the other hand. The ejector fl ap is
held against the grass box by a spring.
Adjusting the cutting height
Warning!
Adjust the cutting height only when the motor has
been switched off and the safety plug has been
disconnected.
Before you begin to mow, check to ensure that the
blade is not blunt and that none of the fasteners
are damaged. To prevent any imbalance, replace
blunt and/or damaged blades. To carry out this
check, fi rst switch off the motor and pull out the
safety plug.
The cutting height is adjusted as shown in Figure
5. To do so, turn the equipment upside down or tilt
it to the side. Position both the front and rear axle
in the same notch, so that the cutting blade runs
parallel to the lawn.
