6.0 WORKING
6.1 BEFORE STARTING WORK
Before starting the seeding operation grease all parts indicated
by transfer nr. 9 ('GREASE') at page 35 of this leaflet.
6.2 OPERATION START
Start the tractor and run the system at idle for a few minutes,
bringing constant pressure to the entire circuit in order to avoid
instability of the blower. Bring the blower up to the number of
revolutions that corresponds to the working conditions.
In humid climates, operate the fan with no-load for a few minutes
in order to dry out the tubes.
6.3 PREPARATIONS FOR DISTRIBUTING
Carefully follow the instructions below and perform the opera-
tions in the order they are listed:
- Using the gear lever, put the tractor engine into neutral;
- Brake the tractor and if necessary, secure it with wooden blocks
sized according to the size of the wheels;
- Ensure that no-one can approach the tractor driver's seat;
- From the driver's seat of the tractor, raise the equipment;
- Operate the power take-off or the oleo-dynamic system of the
blower at a defined speed;
- Check that all the drive shafts are properly engaged.
- Carefully check moving parts, driving parts and distribution.
- Regulate the metering mechanism as described in the
preceding chapters;
- Adjust the metering unit according to the distribution table;
Remove and overturn the supporting feet.
- Carry out a seeding trial, as described earlier in chapters 4.2.
- Periodically check the results of working.
IMPORTANT
For a successful work it is useful to distribution on a small
stretch and check that the product are regularly distributed in
the ground.
- At the end of working, discharge the remaining product through
the doser door.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
6.3 DURING WORK
Bear in mind that a variation in tractor speed does not lead to a
corresponding variation in seed sown per hectare.
Always respect the following rules for successful sowing:
- Keep the hydraulic lifting device in the lowest position.
Observe the height of the front equipment from the ground as
indicated in chapter 3.2.1 reference 5 (Fig. 12).
- During the seeding operation, always maintain the number
of rotations for the requested power take-off.
- Check at times that the operating parts are not covered with
vegetable residual matter or clogged by earth
- Check that the distributor is clean, and prevent any external
matter (no seed) accidentally fallen into the hopper from
hampering the smooth seeding operation.
- Check in any case that the grain tubes are not clogged.
- Maintain a seeding speed compatible with type and cultivation
of the soil
- Periodically check the results of seeding.
- The form dimensions and material of the drive shaft elastic
pins have been chosen for safety. The use of pins not original
or more resistant, could cause serious damage to the seeding
machine.
- Avoid curves with the machine grounded, neither work in
reverse. Always lift it when changing direction or reversing.
- Maintain a seeding speed compatible with type and cultivation
of the soil in order to avoid breakages or damage.
- Lower the equipment when the tractor is in forward gear, to
avoid clogging or damage to the planter shoes; for the same
reason the tractor should not reverse when the equipment is
on the ground.
- Make sure that no foreign material (rope, sack paper) enters
the storage tank when seed is being loaded.
The equipment can transport treated chemical substances
together with the seed. Do not allow children, people, pets to
come near the equipment.
Keep away from the seed storage tank and refrain from
attempting to open it when the equipment is working or about
to begin working.
