IND131/IND331 Terminals Installation Manual
Insert the load cell cables into the correct gland as identified in Figure 2-35. Load
cells 1 – 4 are shown in positions that provide the easiest internal wiring access.
Connect the load cell wires to the terminal blocks on the summing board based on
the wire color for each of the signal names. Note that not all cells use the same
color code. A few examples are shown in Table 2-5. Refer to the documentation of
the load cell being connected for its color code.

Note that if 6-wire load cells are used, both the +Excitation and the +Sense wires
of the cell will be terminated to the same +Exe terminal on the summing board. In
addition, the -Excitation and the -Sense wires of the cell will be terminated to the
same -Exe terminal on the summing board.
The load cell cable lengths suggested in Table 2-4 will provide enough extra wire
to allow the summing board to be reattached to the side of the enclosure. Route the
load cell cable for load cells 1, 2, and 3 behind the summing board to better
secure the wires as shown in Figure 2-36.
Position the summing board bracket so that the slotted holes line up with the studs
on the side of the enclosure. Push the bracket onto the studs then slide the
assembly away from the glands so the bracket "snaps" into place. Refer to Figure
2-32. Make sure that there are no wires pinched between the bracket and the
enclosure when attaching the assembly.
