10.5.2 Isolation and grounding monitoring

Description
The DC side of the solar power inverter has an isolation and
grounding monitor.
The isolation monitoring offers two modes:
● ISO Failure
● ISO Warning
If the positive or negative pole of the PV modules must be
grounded to satisfy the requirements of the module manu-
facturer then this grounding can be monitored. The ground-
ing monitoring has four modes:
● – GND Failure
● – GND Warning
● + GND Failure
● + GND Warning
Before delivery, the solar power inverter is set at the factory
to the ISO Warning (Isolation warning) mode.
Description of the monitoring modes:
Monitoring mode Description
ISO/GND off Monitoring is deactivated.
xxx failure If an isolation failure occurs the solar
power inverter is disconnected from
the grid.
xxx warning If an isolation failure occurs the solar
power inverter logs and displays the
failure but is not disconnected from
the grid.

Description

10.5.4 External stop

Description
An external signal for stopping the feeding of energy into
the grid can be sent to the solar power inverter via the I/O
interface. After being enabled, the signal level to stop feed-
ing can be configured as a HIGH or LOW signal.
