4.2.3 Setting the seat surface extension / thigh rest
The seat can be made significantly more comfortable for larger children by
pulling out the thigh rest (fig. A, item 2).
Lift the thigh rest up a little and pull it forward until you have the desired seat
length.
5. Securing your child in the car seat
5.1 Seatbelt system
The shoulder strap is threaded through the red-marked holder on the side
(fig. B, item 5), passes under the armrest (fig. B, item 6) together with the lap
belt and is inserted into the lock until it engages with an audible "click".
The shoulder strap may not come too close the child's throat.
beginning your trip, make sure that the lap belt and shoulder strap lie
correctly on the child's body, and that they are tight and not twisted.
After adjusting the height of the backrest, make sure that the seatbelt in the
vehicle is rerouted as little as possible by the belt guide (holder) on the
backrest.
Regularly check the position of the belts on your kiddy, so that the backrest
can be adjusted in a timely manner for a growing child.
The seat may not be used with only the lap belt, that it, without
using the shoulder strap.
