Equipment variants

The U15 force transducer always comes supplied with an adapter (lower force applica­
tion) and load application bolts (upper load application).

The force transducer is available in different versions. The following options are avail­
able:
1. Nominal (rated) force
You can purchase force transducers with nominal (rated) forces between 2.5 kN and 2.5
MN. The nominal (rated) force is the force at which the sensor provides the rated output
specified on the type plate as the output signal.
2. Number of measuring bridges
You can purchase the force transducer with a single bridge (SB), and then the U15 comes
supplied with one measuring bridge. The double-bridge version (DB) is available as an
option. The U15 then comes supplied with two electrically isolated bridge circuits.
3. Transducer identification
You can purchase the force transducer with transducer identification ("TEDS"). TEDS
(Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) allows you to store the transducer data (rated out­
puts) in a chip, that can be read out by a connected measuring device. In the double-
bridge version, each measuring bridge has its own TEDS also see Chapter 9
"TEDS transducer identification", page 27.
4. Plug protection
On request, we can fit plug protection, consisting of a strong square tube (round tube for
nominal (rated) force 2.5 MN), so that the plug is protected against mechanical damage.
