INSTALLATION OF THE EXTERNAL UNIT
EXTERNAL UNIT POSITIONING
1.Install the external unit on a rigid surface, to
prevent unnecessary noise and vibrations.
2.Make sure that the air leaving the external unit
encounters no obstacles in its path.
3.If the installation point is exposed to strong winds
(for example in the case of seaside locations),
make sure that the fan operates properly,
positioning the unit along the wall or protecting it
using special screens (fig. 9). In any event, make
sure that strong winds are not liable to obstruct
rotation of the fan.
4.If they are foreseen, the support brackets must be
fitted in compliance with the relevant restrictions
and following the corresponding indications. The
wall on which they are to be fitted must be
sufficiently robust to guarantee firm and lasting installation. If necessary, provide suitable reinforcements and if
necessary use vibration damper supports. Connections between brackets and wall and between brackets and
external unit must be solid and long-lasting.
5.Anchor the external unit firmly to a strong, rigid support, taking care to ensure that it is level. Use bolts of diam.
8mm or 10mm (fig. 10).

DISCHARGING CONDENSATE FROM THE EXTERNAL UNIT
When the appliance operates in heating mode
(HEAT) or in defrosting mode (PRE-DEF), the
condensation that collects in the external unit must
be drained. To do this, during installation it will be
necessary to:
1.Insert the gasket provided in the drainage hole
located on the bottom of the external unit.
2.Insert the special pipe, turning it by 90° to lock it in
position.
3.Connect the pipe to a flexible drainage hose (not
supplied) to carry the condensation to the required
point (fig. 11).
