3. Safety
The maximum connection pressure at the test item connection CON1 must not

exceed 16 bar abs.
Electrical equipment to which model ACS-10 is connected must be fully maintained
■
in good time throughout the entire service life.
The operator must follow the calibration and maintenance cycle recommended by
■
the manufacturer.
Before each test of a test item, it must be ensured that it is completely shut off from
■
the gas compartment or that the connection to the gas compartment is completely
EN disconnected.
Calibration of test items that are connected to the electrical system may result in
■
physical injuries and damage to the instrument. Each test item must be disconnected
from the electrical system. This is the only way to ensure that only passive test items
are connected to the calibration system.

3.3 Intended use

The calibration system for SF₆ density measuring instruments, model ACS-10 is
designed for use with density measuring instruments intended for SF₆ gas or for
alternative insulating gases. The instrument can be used outdoors or indoors in
industrial environments on electrical installations, during commissioning of electrical
installations or as part of receiving inspections.
The prescribed limit values must be complied with and a gas analysis must be carried
out before the instrument is used.
Only use the instrument in applications that lie within the technical performance limits. The
manufacturer or operator of the machine or plant in which the instrument is used must
ensure the compatibility of the wetted parts with the medium used.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for claims of any type based on operation contrary
to the intended use.
This instrument is not permitted to be used in hazardous areas!
The instrument has been designed and built solely for the intended use described here,
and may only be used accordingly.
The technical specifications contained in these operating instructions must be
observed. Improper handling or operation of the instrument outside of its technical
specifications requires the instrument to be taken out of service immediately and
inspected by an authorised WIKA service engineer.
