Timed defrosting
1. Place a dish or a beverage in the cook-
ing chamber, close the cooking chamber
door and make sure it locks in securely in
place.
2. Press the "Defrost by weight/time" but-
ton (12) twice.

3. Turn the function selector (15) to set the
desired defrosting duration (between 5
seconds and 95 minutes).

4. Press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" but-
ton (14).
The appliance starts. The ventilator starts.
The cooking chamber light will switch on.
The turntable starts to turn. The time en-
tered is counted down on the display and
the indicators
for "Microwave" and
for "Defrost" flash.
As soon as the cooking time has finished, a
signal will sound 5 times and the appliance
switches off. The display now shows the
time again.
5. Open the cooking chamber door (8) and
carefully remove the dish from the cook-
ing chamber.

Improper handling of the appliance

The grill rack is not suitable for micro-
wave mode.
■ Use the grill rack exclusively in simple
grill mode or hot air mode.
The appliance can be programmed to cook
food straight after defrosting.
1. Program the defrosting time as described
in the chapters (see "Defrosting by
weight" on page EN-26) or (see "Timed de-
frosting" on page EN-27), Steps 1–3.
2. Then press the "Microwave/Grill/Combi"
button (17).
3. Select the operating mode and cooking
duration as described in chapters "Start-
ing the cooking process" on page EN-22 or
"Grill mode" on page EN-24, Steps 1–4.
4. Press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" but-
ton (14).
The appliance starts with the selected de-
frosting function and then immediately car-
ries out the programmed cooking process.
You can also set the cooking mode
first and then the defrost function.
The appliance always starts with
the defrosting function.
