5.3 Sensor's SSI-interface

MSA510's SSI-interface allows a synchronous output of the position value.
Its data format comprises a width of 24 bit which are either issued as Gray
or binary codes (see chapter 6) and right-aligned. All following bits (25,
26...) are issued as "0".
Data and cycle signals correspond to RS422. Typical SSI monoflop time is
20 ... 25 μs which gives a min. cycle rate of 62.5 kHz.

Please note that the possible max. cycle rate and data integrity mainly
depend on the length of the connection line.

5.4 Zero-Setting

SSI output circuit:
a) SSI operation: Zeroing input (see chapter 4.4) can be activated with
+24 V DC (for more than 2 seconds).
b) RS485: By interface command "l" (see chapter 6).

5.5 Measurement range

The "Boundary" parameter is factory-set to the 0 value. This equals a
value range of -120.00 ... 5000.00 mm.
