Operating times
Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in your
country.
Starter cord assembly K L
1. Press red button (K, 1) and keep it depressed.
2. Lift and hold operator presence bail arm (K, 2).
3. Pull the starter rope slowly to the holding bracket.
4. Twist the cord through the holder (L).
lways remove the starter cord from the holder before
folding the mower handles.
Oil Fill M
Check oil level regulary before mowing!
To check, do not screw in the dipstick.
Fill crankcase with quality oil S E 30 up to the marking „Full"
on dipstick.Capacity approx. 0,6 litre . Lift mower slightly on
the oil filter side whilst pouring oil slowly.
Filling with Petrol
Do not smoke - no naked flames!
Switch off engine.
void spilling petrol when engine is warm.
Use „low-octane petrol" (do not use Super Plus).

Do not inhale vapour.
Use of height adjustment O
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade
has come to complete standstill.
Place hand into handle bar and depress button (1). Lift or
lower chassis until it engages into required position (2).
Maintenance
Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key before
proceeding
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or
brush.
Do not spray with water. Keep mower in a dry room.
Cleaning operations and blade change R
1. Pull off the sparkplug connector!
2. Raise the cutting height to its highest position
3. For cleaning work and blade replacement tilt the mower back
as shown in the illustration.
Change of Cutter blades S
Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key before
proceeding
• Change of blades only be carried out by an approved
service station.
• Gloves should be worn at all times when working on the
blade. Remove ignition key and spark plug lead when
working on the blade.
• Damaged blades should always be replaced in pairs to
ensure even balance.
Information for Service Centre, blade retaining screw to be
tightened to:
/F 17 mm = 38-42 Nm / /F 13 mm = 16-20 Nm
djusting the Bowden cable coupling K T
1. Raise the drive bracket (K, 3) app. 2 cm and hold.
2. Loosen the locking nut (T, 1).
3. Turn the setscrew (T, 2) left until the drive wheels are
blocked when you pull the mower backwards.
4. Tighten locking nut (T, 1).
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf.
Do not set cutting position too low when mowing very tall or wet
grass. We recommend an average cutting height of 4,0 - 5,0 cm.
Start K L
• On a flat surface, if possible not in high grass.
Cold start
1. Set hand throttle (K, 1) on start.
2. Raise and hold the safety bracket (K, 2). Pull starter grip
(L) and return it slowly by hand.
3. fter starting, slowly move the hand throttle to "Operate".
Switching wheel drive on/off K
(Power Edition 40/46 K )
Wheel drive on:
Lift drive bar (3).
Wheel drive off:
Release drive bar (3).
Selecting the speed (Vario)
1. Press button (4)
2. Use the lever (5) to select the desired working speed
(2.5 km/h - 5.0 km/h).
Rabbit: faster. Snail: slower.
Tips for mowing P
• To prevent strips of grass from being left unmowed, the
cutting paths must always overlap a few centimeters.

Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after the first 5 working hours. Thereafter change
engine oil every 25 working hours and at the end of the
mowing season. Change engine oil more frequently if working
under extreme and dusty conditions. To drain the engine oil,
remove oil filler cap, tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to
drain from the crankcase through the filler.

Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean regularly, reset plug gap as required (0,70 mm).
Cleaning the air filter U V W
Clean pre-filter after every 25 hours of operation and paper
filter inserts yearly or after every 100 hours of operation.
1. Open cover as shown in illustration.
2. Remove pre-filter (a) and paper insert (b).
2. Wash pre-filter (a) in a non-caustic cleaning solution and allow
to dry thoroughly.
3. Beat dust out of paper insert (b) carefully. Very dirty or
damaged inserts must be replaced. Do not wash out paper
insert or blow out with compressed air.
Do not oil pre-filter and paper insert!
