Chilling food
– Store preserves, glasses and eggs in
the bottom door shelf (3) or on the bottle
rack (7) below the water tank. Eggs are
best placed in the supplied egg tray.
– Place drinks cartons and bottles on the
bottle rack (7). Position full containers
closer to the hinge in order to reduce the
strain on the door.
– Place securely closed bottles in the bot-
tle rack (7).
– Store cooked and baked foods on the
glass shelves (13).
– Store fresh fruit and vegetables in the
fruit/vegetable drawers (9).
– Store fresh meat, game, poultry, bacon,
sausage and raw fish in the fresh food
drawer (11) or on the glass shelf (12)
above the fresh food drawer (11). This is
where the temperature is lowest.
• Only store strong alcohol standing upright
and tightly closed.
• Allow hot food to cool before placing it in
the fridge.
The temperatures within the appliance
and, therefore, its energy consumption
may increase if the appliance door (2) is fre-
quently opened or kept open for long peri-
ods, or if the ambient temperature exceeds
the stipulated minimum or maximum lev-
els (see "Intended use" on page EN-4).
Maintaining quality
• To maintain the flavour and freshness of
food in the fridge, only place packaged
food in the fridge. Use special plastic con-
tainers for food or customary films.
• Place the food
– in the fridge in a way that allows the air to
circulate freely. Do not cover the shelves
with paper or anything similar.
– somewhere that is not directly against
the rear wall. Otherwise it may freeze
onto the rear wall.
